In my opinion, sometimes it is a-okay to pretend to be a kid again because life just goes by too fast. Ever since our first holiday together, I have always given Mike a gift. Whether it was Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Easter etc., I always created a little gift basket for him. You can never be too old, it is so important to me that I celebrate and enjoy every little thing.
So this post is all about creating an Easter Basket for Him!
Now, the goal here is to keep it simple and inexpensive as possible. So, I simply took a quick ride over to the local Target here in Rochester and started in the dollar section…I know you know what that is.
I picked up the $1 plastic easter eggs, the blue shredded paper to fill and fluff up the basket, and of course some Cadbury Eggs.
Then I made my way over to the granola bar section, since we’ve been on an extreme health kick- I went with the Epic Beef Bar.
Since we just returned from vacation at the Bungalows- the entire time we were there, Mike thought he didn’t have to put sunscreen on. So- Mike is currently suffering the consequences of his lack of applying and now he is peeling. So I thought the mens body lotion from Goodfellow was fitting.
Lastly, I snagged some IPS’s that we had in the back of our fridge that I know he didn’t know were there. After 75HARD concluded, we surprisingly didn’t have the urge or want for a beer so these came in handy for his Easter basket!
The blue basket I just picked up for $6.99 at T.J. Maxx will serve two purposes, between you and I, I bought this basket for (Mike’s Easter basket but also for a baby shower gift…more on that gift later.)
When Sunday rolls around, you will be all ready to give the ultimate easter gift basket for him! Keep in mind, that you absolutely do not need to get all of the items that I did. If you want to keep it simple, then I would suggest using the plastic eggs and writing a sweet note in each or place a few pieces of his favorite candy in each egg. You can then have a fun easter egg hunt with them!
Remember that the whole point is to have fun! Plus-this is great practice before the kiddos come!
