Once a year when Valentine’s Day come around, I love to put together a thoughtful Valentine’s Day gift basket for Mike. This particular holiday for us is very simple, we never go over the top on gifts because we just don’t think its necessary. But, it is fun to exchange a few things like a card and a few other use-full items and treats.
I have put together a last minute Valentine’s Day gift basket for him, that includes a few thoughtful, budget-friendly and useful items! Come check them out!
Ever since Mike and I started dating, we always exchanged a little something to one another on Valentines Day. This year, I decided that I would design a basket of goodies that I knew he would love. So what better place to go than to Target.
Valentine’s Day Gift Basket For Him
The 2021 Valentine’s Day gift basket was thoughtfully pieced together by a few of Mike’s favorite things. I tried to think outside the box and get super creative, but I realized that keeping it simple was key.
So I started with the basket, I was super excited when I stumbled upon this find, I knew that it was going to fit all of the treats that I was planning to buy. What I also love about this rope basket is that I can easily reuse this again for storage or use it to display another gift. This adorable rope woven basket (similar one here) has great detail and two super cute leather handles.
I made my way to the seasonal section of Target; this is the Valentine’s Day jackpot! I grabbed some beef jerky instead of candy because Mike isn’t a chocolate or candy lover.
While I continued on my mission, I paused at the electronics section and spotted a phone charging cord. I don’t know about you, but Mike and I seem to always loose or misplace our charging cords so to avoid this happening again, I bought Mike his own cord.
As I was making my way to the checkout line, I walked by the men’s apparel section. Something sparked my memory that Mike wanted a few new pairs of his favorite boxers. He loves the clothing brand “Mack Weldon”, this brand makes quality underwear and lounge clothing for men. Although this company is pricy, the quality can’t be beat. So I thought that purchasing a few pairs for Valentine’s Day would be very fitting.
Once the I had all of my purchases together, I assembled the basket with all of the items I purchased from Target and from Mack Weldon. If you don’t have tissue paper on hand, don’t panic! You can simply arrange your basket display without it! However, since I always have tissue paper, I stuffed the bottom of my basket with some paper and placed the items in a way where they can be seen. Once I had everything arranged, I stuffed some tissue paper here and there to make the display appear larger.
Lastly, I will include a sweet card that I purchased at Marshalls. In my opinion, Marshalls has THE best cards, the Valentine’s Day cards were so stinking cute!
I hope you feel inspired to make a quick Target run if you don’t already have a Valentine’s Day gift for your guy! As you can see, it really does’t take much to curate a super cute basket while on a budget and also on a short timeframe!
